Welcome!

I am an LCSW offering accessible and personalized mental healthcare in-person or through Telehealth

My Approach

There are many benefits to therapy; my hope is that everyone is able to have a positive experience in a therapeutic setting at some point in their lives. I have seen therapy provide a space for clients to talk openly about both the beautiful and difficult parts of life. I have always believed that life is not about avoiding suffering. Therapy is an opportunity to practice sitting in and moving through discomfort, pain, anxiety, or fear. It is a chance for clients to find or rediscover their voice in the healing process. The therapeutic relationship allows clients to navigate, discuss, and process past traumatic events or current stressors with someone alongside them.

I strongly believe that our life experiences shape our beliefs about ourselves, our relationships, and our world view. While we may not have a choice in some of these life experiences, we have the potential to meet these challenges head on and overcome them. I believe in the power of recognizing our own self worth and strength and how utilizing this power can help us to make positive and meaningful changes in our lives. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and using that to help clients find meaning and connection.

In my experience, many people hope to find peace, stability, purpose, and fulfillment in their lives. How we come to find these things looks different for each of us depending on our needs and values, which is why I don’t believe therapy is “one size fits all.” It is important to individualize your treatment goals and determine which treatment modalities best fit your needs. I am trained in and typically use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strengths Based Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I specialize in several things including maternal mental health and trauma.

I work with adults ages 18 and older.

I am an LGBTQ+ ally.
